Privacy Policy
Good Neighbor Desk is a d/b/a of Bandon Investments LLC, Carmel, Indiana ("we," "us"). We provide done-for-you office help, including missed-call text-back, to local service businesses ("our customers"). This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Who this applies to
- Visitors to this website.
- Our customers, the small businesses that hire us.
- Callers and texters, the people who call or text one of our customers' business numbers while it is set up with our service.
Information we collect
Website and email. If you email hello@goodneighbordesk.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write. This site does not use advertising trackers.
Customer information. Business name, contact name, phone number, email address, and the details needed to set up the service (for example business hours, service area, and message wording).
Missed-call text-back data. When someone calls a customer's business number and the call is missed, our service may automatically send that caller a text message from the business. To do that, we process:
- the caller's phone number and the date, time, and status of the call (for example, missed or answered);
- the text messages we send to the caller and any text replies, including details the caller chooses to share, such as name, address, and a description of the job;
- basic delivery information from our messaging provider, such as whether a message was delivered, and any opt-out requests.
We do not record or listen to phone calls as part of the text-back service.
How we use information
- To send the text-back message and pass the caller's reply to the business they were trying to reach, so the business can follow up.
- To operate, support, and improve the service for our customers, and to keep records of what was sent.
- To respond to questions and to prevent abuse or fraud.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not share phone numbers or text-messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Who we share information with
- The business you contacted. Texts and call details go to that business.
- Service providers that help us run the service, such as phone and text-messaging, email, and hosting providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Text messaging and opting out
Text-back messages are sent in response to a call you placed to a business. They are not marketing texts. Message frequency varies and is tied to your call or conversation. Message and data rates may apply.
To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message. You can also reply HELP for help, or email hello@goodneighbordesk.com. After you opt out, we will send one confirmation and no further text messages from that number unless you contact the business again and start a new conversation.
Retention
We keep call and message records only as long as needed to provide the service to our customer and meet legal or accounting requirements, then delete or de-identify them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no system is completely secure.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or opt out of texts, by emailing hello@goodneighbordesk.com. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
